A 41-year-old man fatally shot in the gymnasium parking area at Thornhill

Police in Polokwane are investigating a murder case following the fatal shooting of a 41-year-old man at the Thornhill gymnasium parking area on Tuesday, night, 30 January 2024 at about 21:30.

The police received a complaint about the incident and upon arrival at the scene, they found a man lying in a pool of blood with gunshot wounds on the neck.

The motive for the shooting is unknown at this stage. The deceased was identified as Sakie Ramogale (41). The Acting Provincial Commissioner of the South African Police Service in Limpopo Major General Jan Scheepers condemned the incident, calling it brutal and ordered the police to hunt down the suspects.

The police investigation is still continuing.
