Police launch a search operation for a missing man and woman

Gordon Thobejane:
Mecklenburg police in Sekhukhune District launched a search for Gordon Thobejane (28), from Serafa, Thabantsho section in Mecklenburg who went missing on 20 February 2024.

Information available reveals that the man informed his mother after he was discharged at Mecklenburg hospital that he was going to submit a sick note at his workplace at Safety Chrome Mine however, he never returned.

The matter was reported to the police on 27 February 2024, whereas a missing person file was opened.

He was dressed in a blue T-shirt and blue jeans at the time of his disappearance.

The Branch Commander, Lieutenant Colonel Livingstone Mulaudzi, appeals to the public to come forward with any information on the whereabouts of the missing man. Anyone with information that could assist police in the search may contact the Branch Commander on 082 414 3070. Alternatively, information can be shared via Crime Stop at 08600 10111 or the MySAPS App.

Police investigations are ongoing.

Nkobate Matshingwane:
The Police in Motetema still seek help in locating a 23-year-old woman, Nkobate Matshingwane from Tafelkop, who went missing on 22 October 2023.

The father reported that on 22 October 2023 at around 03:00 in the morning, he received a call from his daughter, and she told him that she was in danger. He did not intervene as they were not on good terms. The following day, she did not return home.

On 28 October 2023, he then went to the Police to report a case of missing person.

Police commenced with search operations around the area without success.

The clothes she was wearing during her disappearance are unknown.

Police request anyone with information that can help to locate the missing woman to contact Detective Sergeant Raymond Phago on 082 414 6464. Alternatively, Crime Stop number on 08600 10111 or the nearest police station or MySAPS App.

Police investigation are still continuing.
