Public assistance is required to locate the silver Toyota Etios with registration NJ 79219.
The vehicle was stolen from an informal parking area opposite the Verulam Driving Licence Test Centre on Jabu Ngcobo Road in Verulam – KZN today (Friday).
A member of the public informed Reaction Officers that a white VW Polo (registration unknown) entered the parking lot.
A car guard based at the location left minutes prior to the vehicle being stolen. The car guard is a known drug addict. He was previously arrested by Reaction Officers for a burglary/theft that occurred in Tongaat – KZN.
The owner of the car returned after renewing his driver’s license and discovered that his vehicle was missing. It was further established that seventeen (17) files containing sensitive information were in the car at the time of the theft. The Desinager – KZN resident is offering a reward for the recovery of the files. This is the third vehicle that has been stolen from the same location in ten (10) days.
