Earlier this morning, Mi7 National Group’s Control Room received a report on a community group for the Chase Valley Area, detailing a robbery involving a domestic worker on her commute to work.
Control Room operators engaged with the resident, gathering information regarding the incident as well as a description of the suspect. The perpetrator allegedly absconded with the victim’s cellphone, seeking refuge in a nearby park.
Mi7 Strategic Threat Response Unit (STRU) members responded, commencing a thorough search for the suspect. While conducting patrols, an individual fitting the provided description was spotted and apprehended. The man was positively identified by the victim.
The matter was handed over to the police for further investigation.
