Masisi Police tracks down a man following the murder of his wife at Tshivaloni village

The Police in Masisi are investigating a case of murder perpetrated against a 36-year-old woman who was allegedly assaulted with a hard object by her husband, on Monday, 16 April 2024, at Tshivaloni village under Vhembe district.

Reports indicate that the Police were summoned to the scene after a lifeless body of a woman was discovered in a pool of blood at Tshivaloni village. They attended the scene, and the victim was found with serious injuries on the upper body. The Emergency Medical Services personnel was also activated. She was certified dead and identified as Nkhetheni Mudau (36).

Police preliminary investigation into the incident revealed that the victim and her husband had a heated argument in their house. After a moment, a woman was heard crying and screaming. Later that day she was found dead and Police registered a case of murder to arrest the suspect.

The husband is requested to report at the local police station to assist in the investigations.

The circumstances that led to the incident are currently unclear but domestic violence cannot be ruled out.
