During the early hours this morning, Mi7 National Group received an alarm activation from the premises of an Armed Response client on Richmond Road, Westgate. Mi7 Reaction Officers were immediately dispatched to the premises where the client reported seeing an intruder.
MI7 teams conducted a systematic check of the premises and surrounding areas – however, there was no sight of the intruder. Undeterred, they extended their search into an adjacent bush where they discovered a collection of suspicious items, including bags, tools, and a vacuum, indicating recent activity in the area.
During an extensive patrol of the bushland, Mi7 Reaction Officers found an individual who, after questioning, admitted to breaking into the client’s property.
The suspect was apprehended and the matter handed over to the police for further investigation.
