Ravensmead police members conducted stop and search operations within their gang violence hotspot areas on Wednesday, 07 May 2025 which resulted in the arrest of a man for the possession of drugs.
As the members approached Parkdene Street at around 10:45, they noticed a suspicious man who attempted to evade them at all cost but did not succeed in his endeavour. The members apprehended the man upon which a search ensued, resulting in the confiscation of mandrax tablets found in his possession.
Once charged the 29-year-old suspect is expected to make a court appearance in the Bellville Magistrates’ Court on a charge of possession of drugs on Friday 09 May 2025
