Update: Structural fire at Mikeva Hyper in Mossel Bay

Crews from Mossel Bay Fire, Rescue and Disaster Management are still at the scene at Mikeva Hyper where a structure fire started after 10:00 today, 27 May 2025. The fire is currently contained after it was brought under control at 11:52. Firefighters gained access to the building and are still busy with firefighting operations where needed.

All 154 employees and customers that were in the shop at the time of the incident, are accounted for and were evacuated safely. One adult female was taken to hospital for treatment of burn wounds. No other injuries were reported.
