Midlands EMS crews were dispatched to the N3 Northbound between Nottingham Road and Mooi River for a motor vehicle accident.
On arrival, it was established that a pedestrian had been hit by a vehicle while attempting to cross the road.
The pedestrian sustained fatal injuries and was declared deceased on scene by paramedics.
Authorities were in attendance.
