On Tuesday, 01 July 2025 at 15:30, the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) Cable Theft Unit Officers arrested four (4) suspects in the Kwa-Thema area.
While patrolling the area, Officers caught the suspects in action , cutting a 40-meter cable with x2 bolt cutters. The suspects were immediately arrested and detained at Kwa-Thema Police Station, facing charges of tampering with essential infrastructure.
