A family of seven (7) were locked in their home following a robbery in Cottonlands – KZN during the early hours of this morning (Sunday).
The victims were consuming alcohol together when five (5) males confronted them. Three (3) suspects produced firearms and instructed the victims to lay on the floor. A shot was fired into a wall during the incident. They locked the victims in the house and fled with an iPhone 12 Pro Max, a Volcano Bluetooth speaker and house keys.
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were called out to the scene at approximately 00:34. On arrival, Reaction Officers forced open a door to free the victims.
No injuries were reported.
