A 30-year-old male suspect was nabbed for possession of drugs at the Naboomspruit policing area under Waterberg District on Friday, 01 August 2025.
An intelligence driven operation was executed by the Provincial Organized Crime Investigation Unit members at Mookgopong, under Naboomspruit policing area after receiving an anonymous tip-off about a suspected motor vehicle selling illicit drugs at Phomolong Extention.
The members operationalised the information and during the operation they saw the vehicle matching the description in the area and immediately stopped it at about 23:00.
It was searched and police discovered an undisclosed amount of money together with plastic bags containing suspected illicit drugs comprising Crystal-Meth, Heroine and Cat with an estimated street value of R10 000,00.
The suspect was nabbed on the spot and will appear before the Mookgophong Magistrate Court on Monday, 04 August 2025, facing a charge of possession and dealing in drugs.
Police investigations are continuing.
