Three suspects arrested in separate incidents in Mitchells Plain in recent days

Law Enforcement officers have arrested three suspects in separate incidents in Mitchells Plain in recent days.

At approximately 02:30 this morning, LEAP officers on patrols in Tafelsig saw a man running into a property. They gave chase, but were stopped by a locked gate.

A female occupant in the house gave them permission to enter the premises.

The male was found in one of the rooms – officers also found a Browning pistol hidden in a bag.

The 27-year-old suspect was detained at Mitchells Plain SAPS.

Then, on Sunday morning, 24 August, Law Enforcement officers caught two people, red-handed, engaging in cable theft in a trench along Morgenster Road.

They were arrested in terms of the Criminal Matters Amendment Act of 2015.

The suspects, a 29-year-old woman and a 40-year-old man, were detained at Lentegeur SAPS
