On Monday, 15 September 2025 at 13:15, members of Flying Squad were patrolling on the N2 Macassar side when they noticed a silver Hyundai fitting the description of a vehicle that was involved in theft out of motor vehicle cases.
The vehicle with false number plates was pulled over and searched. Inside the vehicle the members found a black bag containing an apple laptop, apple tablet, power bank, passport of a white male, car keys of different vehicles and remotes that can be used in jamming signals, tablet holder, reflector jacket, a screwdriver and an external memory card reader with memory sticks.
Four males aged between 21 and 32 were arrested for possession of presumed stolen property and fraud. The suspects were detained at Macassar SAPS and will appear in the Strand Magistrates court once charged.
