*Incident Summary:*
At approximately 19:54, the KZN VIP Control Center received an alert via the Eastgate community reporting individuals screaming for assistance. The situation was unconfirmed at the time.
Upon arrival, KZN VIP Response Officers made contact with the homeowner at Eastgate Place who reported that a suspect had jumped into the property and was approaching the front door. The homeowner, upon noticing the intruder, began shouting for help. This disturbed the suspect, who immediately fled the property through the front entrance.
The homeowner pursued the suspect in his vehicle but he managed to evade arrest. Unconfirmed if anything was stolen from the property as The suspect was disturbed before gaining entry into the home. No injuries were reported.
Community advised to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity.
