A live grenade was discovered in a heap of rubbish in Blackburn – KZN today (Monday).
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were called out to the scene at approximately 09:03. On arrival, Reaction Officers were informed that farm employees made the discovery. The grenade appears to be live with its pin still intact.
Officers evacuated the vicinity and are awaiting arrival of the arrival of the South African Police Service (SAPS) Explosives Unit.
