A 32-year-old woman residing in Cornerstone – KZN became the victim of a phone snatching incident on Moss Street in Verulam CBD – KZN a short while ago (Wednesday).
The female was engaged in a phone conversation when an unidentified male suspect suddenly struck the phone from her hand. The man swiftly grabbed the Huawei P30 Lite, which fell to the ground before fleeing on foot. The victim attempted to pursue the assailant but lost sight of him near the Ndwedwe Taxi Rank on Ireland Street.
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were thereafter dispatched to assist the victim in searching for the perpetrator, but the suspect still remains at large.
