Public Order Police Information team put together an intelligence report on drug trafficking in Makgothi Street, Batho Location near Bloemfontein. A team of operators operationalised the intelligence, and a search was conducted during Thursday, 25 September 2025 evening.
Seventy-two (72) full; three (3) halves and one (1) quarter of Mandrax tablets were found kept in a black plastic bag. Further search was conducted, and thirty-two (32) small bankies of dagga were also found. The police immediately placed the 24-year-old suspect under arrest for dealing in drugs. Cash believed to be proceeds of drugs sale was also confiscated.
A case docket was opened at Batho Police Station in terms of Drugs and Drug Trafficking Act 140 of 1992, Section 5. The suspect will appear in Bloemfontein Magistrate Court on Monday 29 September 2025.
