A theft suspect was successfully apprehended following a joint effort between KZNVIP Response Officers and CPF members on Phoenix Highway and Longbury Drive, Phoenix, on 25 September 2025.
At 14h00 PM, KZNVIP Control Centre received information that CPF members were chasing a suspect and requested immediate assistance. Response Officers were dispatched and quickly joined the pursuit.
Upon arrival of KZNVIP Response Officers, it was established that the suspect had stolen copper pipes from a property in Transclay Terrace when he was spotted by residents, who then alerted CPF members.
A foot chase ensued leading to the suspect being intercepted and detained with the assistance of KZNVIP Response officers. Stolen items were recovered in the suspect’s possession.
SAPS Phoenix was notified and dispatched to the scene.
