Motorbike collision on the R55 near Stone Ridge in Centurion

On Saturday afternoon, at around 14h00, our Centurion crew responded to reports of a motorbike collision on the R55 near Stone Ridge in Centurion.

A police vehicle, while en route to an emergency, was involved in a collision with a delivery motorbike. Fortunately, the motorbike rider sustained only moderate injuries and was transported in a stable condition to a nearby hospital by Gauteng Emergency Medical Services.

The circumstances surrounding the collision are still under investigation.

This incident serves as an important reminder for all motorists to remain alert and cautious when emergency vehicles are approaching. Always give way safely and ensure the road is clear so emergency responders can reach those in urgent need without delay. Seconds saved can mean lives saved.
