Two people were injured after a truck lost control and collided into the bridge at the R21- N1 interchange this afternoon. Reports from the scene are that the cab of the truck was hanging over the bridge, the driver and his assistant plunged fifteen meters to the ground below.
Netcare 911 paramedics arrived at the scene and found the driver to have sustained critical injuries, he was stabilized on scene and then transported to the Netcare Pretoria East hospital. The passenger was treated on scene and then transported to a local government hospital for further treatment.
