A ten-year-old boy sustained moderate injuries after he fell ten meters on the Lions Head mountains, Cape Town.
ER24 paramedics and AMS rescue were called to the mountainside to assist in the rescue.
The medical helicopter was called in to ferry the rescuers to the injured patient.
Once treated and stabilised for his injuries, the patient was hoisted into the helicopter and transported to the waiting ER24 ambulance.
After a quick assessment, the child was transported to New Summerset Hospital for further treatment.
The cause of the incident is still under investigation.
