IPSS Medical Rescues Search and Rescue Division together with S.T.A.R.T rescue and Durban Metro SAR took part in a joint confined space training prgram hosted by Dräger.
It is a fantastic initiative to expand the knowledge of Rescue personnel so they are better able to serve their communities while staying safe.
Dräger introduced their new confined space SCBA training rig, and introduced members to new fire gear and BA’s. After introducing their new gear, members were allowed the opportunity to test the gear and tackle their new training rig.
Congratulations to IPSS Search and Rescue volunteers Nick and IPSS Medic Shane who broke the record for the fastest time today. And well done to all members on a fantastic performance today.
A huge thank you goes to Dräger for hosting us at their facility and letting us use their awesome training rig and gear.
