On Thursday 10 April 2025 around 09:00, the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department (EMPD) First Response Unit officers, in conjunction with other stakeholder conducted a Liquor outlet operation in the Thembisa area.
The operation was successful, whereby two (2) owners were arrested for contravening the liquor act by selling alcohol without a trading license. An estimated value of R11 600.00 worth of alcohol was confiscated.
The Duo was detained at Thembisa South Police Station and a case of contravening the Liquor act by selling Alcohol without a Trading license will be registered
