The members of South African Police Service in Bela-Bela under Waterberg District have apprehended a 40-year-old foreign male national for possession of suspected stolen property worth thousands of rand at his rental residence on Tuesday, 22 April 2025 at about 10:00.
Police received information about the suspect who was storing suspected stolen properties at his two rental rooms at Khota Street and rushed to the vicinity. On arrival, they found the suspect.
During the search, police discovered electrical appliances comprising of television sets, microwaves, cellphones, clothes, shoes, bicycles, washing machines and other household items.
A 40-year-old male was asked about the origin of the properties but failed to provide a satisfactory response and he was placed under arrest on the spot.
Some of the victims managed to identify their stolen properties at the scene and the suspect is expected to appear before the Bela-Bela Magistrate’s Court soon facing a charge of possession of stolen property.
The Acting Provincial Commissioner of police in Limpopo, Major General Samuel Manala, has applauded the members for the diligent work which resulted in the apprehension of the suspect and the subsequent recovery of the suspected stolen items
