A pedestrian was seriously injured after he was run over on Gopalall Hurbans Road near Fairbreeze – KZN this afternoon (Sunday).
Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) members were dispatched to the scene at approximately 18:19 after the Operations Centre received multiple calls from the public reporting the pedestrian/vehicular accident. On arrival, Reaction Officers discovered the Tongaat SAPS in attendance.
It was established that a silver Hyundai Venue struck the pedestrian who suddenly entered the roadway. The seriously injured male was suspected to be under the influence of alcohol, but this could not be immediately confirmed.
The occupants of the vehicle were not injured.
