Members of the Gauteng Traffic Police and Gauteng Traffic Wardens STT (Eastern Corridor), in collaboration with Cartrack, Rentrack, and other key role players, recovered several hijacked and stolen vehicles across Ekurhuleni.
• A white Toyota Prado, hijacked in Parkview, was recovered along the R550. One suspect was arrested.
• A Mahindra Karoo, hijacked in Brakpan, was recovered on Zeeman Street in Brenthurst, Brakpan.
• A Hyundai H1, hijacked in Kwa-Thema Barcelona, was found in Langaville Ext 6, Tsakane.
• A white Toyota Hilux, hijacked in Daveyton, was recovered abandoned in a field in Modderbee East.
• A Hyundai H100, stolen in Vosloorus, was recovered along Isithandwa Street, Vosloorus Ext 7.
• A white Isuzu bakkie, hijacked in Witbank, was recovered in Daveyton. One suspect was arrested.
• A Nissan NV300, stolen in Vosloorus, was recovered on Nape Street, Vosloorus Ext 8.
• A Mazda2, hijacked in Tsakane, was found abandoned and partially stripped near Ethafeni Clinic.
• A Hyundai Grand i10, hijacked in Katlehong, was recovered at Polar Park.
