A 29 year old man sustained burns to his body after his house in Mtomba – KZN caught alight yesterday afternoon (Monday).
The male was asleep when a candle fell over and started the fire. The blaze spread rapidly through the wood & iron home trapping him inside. He was rescued by neighbours prior to the arrival of members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA).
The man was transported privately to hospital for burns to his face, back and hands.
