The South African Police Service in Polokwane, Capricorn District, has launched an investigation into a missing person case following the disappearance of Johan Herman Woortmeyer (50), Hoog Street, Polokwane.
According to the report received by the police, Mr. Woortmeyer went out for a walk on Sunday, 08 June 2025, at around 13:00, and has not returned home since. He was last seen wearing a blue trouser, blue and white check shirt, grey and blue jacket with light brown boots.
Despite efforts to locate him, his whereabouts remain unknown at this stage.
Police are appealing to anyone who may have seen Mr. Woortmeyer or has information that could assist in locating him to urgently contact the investigating officer, Sergeant Mokgadi Molope who can be reached on 082 728 9831. Alternatively, information can be shared via the Crime Stop number 08600 10111 or reported to the nearest police station.
The SAPS urges the public to assist in locating Mr. Woortmeyer so that he can be safely reunited with his loved ones.
