Earlier this morning, Mi7’s Control Room received a call from a community member who reported seeing a man walking on the roof of a Mi7 Armed Response client’s premises on Victoria Road in the CBD.
Mi7 Reaction Officers patrolling the area were immediately dispatched, and due to their quick response, got to the premises in minutes. They conducted a thorough inspection of the property, including the rooftop area. During the inspection, it was noticed that multiple air conditioning units had been tampered with.
While on the roof, they spotted the suspect trying to flee. A foot pursuit ensued, and Reaction Officers successfully intercepted and detained the suspect on site.
The matter was handed over to the police for further investigation.
