ILembe District Intelligence Driven Police Operation arrested a 34-year-old suspect on Tuesday, 1 July 2025, in the Sundumbili Policing Precinct, after the suspect was found in possession of a homemade firearm, and an unlicensed firearm.
Police worked diligently after receiving information that the suspect had an unlicensed firearm and traced the suspect to Isithebe, where the suspect was arrested. Police seized a homemade firearm and a pistol from the suspect’s possession.
The suspect was charged with the following, count one: Possession of a homemade firearm. Count two: possession of unlicensed firearm.
The suspect will appear in court in due time.
