A multidisciplinary team consisting of members from Gauteng Counterfeit Unit, Commercial Crime Unit, Border Police, Johannesburg Public Order Police, Gauteng Traffic Wardens and Brand Protectors descended to Johannesburg CBD on Tuesday, 29 July 2025 where they raided shops that are suspected to be selling counterfeit clothes.
More than twenty thousand clothing and shoes to the value of R 17 300 000-00 were confiscated.
