A house was extensively damaged in a fire on Camelthorn Place in Trenance Park – KZN today (Thursday).
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) arrived on scene at approximately 13:28 and found smoke billowing out of the home. The house was unoccupied at the time.
Reaction Officers forced opened a door and utilised a garden hose to contain the fire that was rapidly spreading through the home. Firefighters arrived shortly thereafter and extinguished the blaze. Part of the roof collapsed.
The elderly couple returned shortly thereafter. The male homeowner suffered an anxiety attack and was stabilised by Paramedics.
