One person sustained multiple injuries following a shooting incident near the Woodview graveyard area, in the direction of the Cornubia housing development, during the late hours of Saturday evening, 2 August 2025.
KZNVIP Response Officers were dispatched to Sulzer Place, Phoenix Industrial, where a blue VW Polo had pulled into a garage seeking assistance after coming under fire.
Upon arrival, KZNVIP Medics and Emergency Teams found that the vehicle had sustained multiple bullet holes. The driver, who was travelling alone at the time, had also suffered several injuries as a result of the shooting.
The patient was stabilised on scene by KZNVIP Medics but declined transportation to a medical facility.
The circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear at this stage, as the complainant was unable to provide detailed information. SAPS was in attendance and has launched an investigation.
