An intelligence-driven operation by Mthatha based OR Tambo District Task Team led to the recovery of two unlicensed firearms and the arrest of two suspects aged 61 and 64 in Thina Falls – Qumbu on Monday, 04 August 2025 between 21:00 and 22:00.
The task team pounced on an identified homestead at Godini locality – Tina Falls, and recovered an unlicensed Shotgun under the mattress and a 61-year-old woman was arrested for unlawful possession of a firearm. The team proceeded to Godini locality – Tina Falls, where they recovered a 9mm pistol with erased serial number and live rounds of ammunition, a 64-year-old male suspect was arrested to that effect.
