While conducting a crime prevention operation in Tembisa, the Gauteng Traffic Police and the wardens STT in the Eastern corridor responded to a tip-off regarding a male suspect that was allegedly committing cellphone robberies using a firearm in the area of Vusimuzi Informal Settlement.
The officers managed to locate and arrest the suspect who was found in possession of suspected Crystal Meth and a stolen cellphone. The stolen cellphone was linked to case that was opened on the 1st of August 2025 at the Tembisa police station. An unlicensed firearm was also found at the suspect’s property.
The suspect is facing charges of possession of drugs, stolen property and an unlicensed firearm.
