KZNVIP Control Centre received information via social media regarding a shooting incident that occurred on McCausland Crescent Umhlanga, outside a local entertainment center, just after 02h10am on 16 August 2025.
Upon arrival, KZNVIP Response Officers together with the KZNVIP Medical Team located one female victim who had sustained a gunshot wound to her right leg. The patient was stabilised on scene by medics before being transported privately to a medical facility for further care.
It is believed that a shot from fired from a passing vehicle which struck the female whilst she was seated in her vehicle. The injured female was located awaiting assistance, circumstances leading up to this incident cannot be confirmed at this time.
SAPS were dispatched to the scene.
