In a joint operation, Eldorado Park SAPS, Anti-Gang Unit, Gauteng Traffic Police, and Gauteng Traffic Wardens arrested two suspects for possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.
One suspect, a 17 year old, was found in possession of the unlicensed firearm. His accomplice was found in possession of live ammunition.
Investigations revealed that the suspects had robbed a woman at gunpoint, leading to an additional charge of armed robbery being opened against them.
Both suspects are expected to be linked to other pending cases as investigations continue.
