A 1.8-metre black mamba was captured in the Coniston – KZN today (Tuesday) after it was discovered inside a dog kennel.
The homeowner contacted Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) for assistance upon spotting the highly venomous snake. RUSA Area Manager, Nkosinathi Ndaba, was promptly dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, Ndaba captured the snake.
No dogs were present in the kennel at the time of the incident.
