On 02 September 2025, members of the EITT and TSU units conducted an intelligence-driven operation after receiving information about a vehicle transporting suspected drugs from a well-known drug den in Phoenix to Amaoti.
The vehicle was identified, stopped, and searched, leading to the recovery of 200 capsules of suspected heroin with an estimated street value of R8,000.00.
The suspect was detained and handed over to SAPS for further investigation and processing.
