On Tuesday, 02 September 2025, the members searched a premises in Icuras Close, Eureka Estate where they confiscated 230 packets containing crystal meth, 490 mandrax tablets and an undisclosed amount of cash. A 35-year-old male was arrested for dealing in drugs.
Furthermore the members were conducting stop and search operations in Atiena Avenue, Ravensmead and arrested a 21-year-old male for the possession of mandrax. Upon searching the suspect the members found 15 mandrax tablets in his possession and he was subsequently arrested.
Operation Shanela 2 members searched another premises in Icuras Close, Eureka Estate, and arrested a 32-year-old man when they found 50 packets containing crystal meth in the house.
The suspects have made their respective court appearances before the Goodwood Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday, 03 September 2025.
