A Malawian National was apprehended by the public in the Verulam CBD – KZN for a robbery he committed minutes earlier (Friday 08:49).
Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) arrived on scene on Ireland Street and found the male suspect being assaulted by bystanders. The foreign national had robbed a female of her cellphone on Todd Street.
The suspect was released after the phone was recovered & the victim left the scene prior to arrival of Reaction Officers.
