An adult male Vervet Monkey was rescued from a drain at an industrial premises in Nyala Road in Canelands – KZN this morning (Monday).
Reaction Officers were informed that the animal had fallen off the roof to the ground twenty (20) feet below during a fight with a troop of monkeys & suffered extensive injuries to both its rear legs.
The monkey is currently at the Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) Headquarters awaiting assistance from a wildlife organisation.
