NELSPRUIT – The SAPS in Lydenburg urgently seek public assistance in locating Mr Simon Mike Lubisi, aged 47, a Prison Warder stationed at Lydenburg Correctional Services, who was last seen at his home in Lydenburg on Monday, 01 September 2025 around 09:00.
Mr Lubisi was last seen by his family, wearing a black and Grey Nike T-Shirt, black short pan trousers, as well as a blank and white Adidas sandals.
It is said that Mr Lubisi went missing on Friday, 29 August 2025 in the morning and was officially reported as such to the police on Saturday evening, 30 August 2025. A search for a missing person was immediately launched by the Lydenburg Detectives. During the search on Sunday, 31 August 2025 at around 23:50 Lubisi was successfully located by the Lydenburg Detectives and he was accompanied to his place of residence.
Shockingly, on Monday, 01 September 2025, at around 12:00, Mr Lubisi’s family reported him missing at Lydenburg SAPS. Lubisi said to have left home on the same Monday, around 21:00. His family indicated that he informed them that he was taking a walk but never returned home. His mobile phone has since been off to date.
The SAPS has launched an investigation into Mr Lubisi’s disappearance and is working closely with his family and colleagues to gather more information. An enquiry has been registered.
The police kindly request anyone with information regarding Mr Simon Mike Lubisi’s whereabouts to come forth with valuable information.
