A multidisciplinary Crime Prevention Operation was conducted in the Verulam CBD – KZN today (Thursday).
Role players included the Verulam SAPS Crime Prevention Unit, Verulam SAPS Sector Managers, Metro Police, Community Police Forum (CPF), members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA), and multiple security companies.
First Responders were briefed at 12:00 by the Visible Policing Commander, Colonel Strydom, outlining the objectives and targets of the operation.
The focus was to address crime within the Central Business District (CBD), identify undocumented foreign nationals, and conduct a cleanup of known drug hotspots.
Several suspects were apprehended as a result of the operation.
