This afternoon West Coast Medical Rescue and Metro EMS Rescue responded with NSRI St Helena to reports of a Drowning in progress at Rooibaai, Laaiplek.
Upon arrival witnesses stated a young adult male was seen in difficulty before disappearing under the water.
The body of a young male was later recovered from the water, not far from where he was last seen.
