A 70-year-old man from Ghandishill in Tongaat – KZN was hospitalised after being struck by a white BMW in Belvedere, Tongaat – KZN this morning (Friday).
Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) responded to the scene at approximately 07:05, and found the elderly man on the roadside. According to the victim, he had disembarked from a bus in Belvedere, Tongaat – KZN with the intention of jogging back to his residence. As he stepped onto the roadway, he was reportedly unaware of the approaching vehicle, which resulted in the accident.
RUSA Paramedics medical assistance at the scene before transporting the injured man to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
