A member of the public has submitted these pictures to Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) after observing a man situated on an arch beneath a bridge.
Reaction Officers arrived at the Umdloti River in Canelands – KZN, but were unable to locate the unidentified man. The railway bridge crosses the north and south lanes of the R102 and the Umdloti River. The means by which the man got onto and off the arch remain unknown.
Lately, the old bridge has been a hotspot for drug dealers and users.

This video captures an unidentified man leaping from an arch bridge in Canelands – KZN earlier today (Friday).
The footage was submitted to Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) after a social media post revealed a man on the bridge. He was spotted by several motorists who contacted the RUSA Headquarters for assistance.
The person recording claims the man was trying to avoid Law Enforcement Officers (LEO) in pursuit.
