A quick and coordinated effort between KZNVIP Tactical Units, Response Officers and members of the local CPF led to the arrest of a female suspect in Trenance Park, Phoenix, earlier this morning, 11 October 2025.
KZNVIP Control Centre received a request for assistance from local CPF members regarding a wanted theft suspect believed to be hiding at a property on Trenance Park Drive, just after 9:10 AM. KZNVIP Tactical and Response Teams were immediately dispatched to investigate.
Upon arrival, KZNVIP officers located and apprehended a female suspect. Preliminary investigations revealed that the woman had allegedly befriended an elderly resident at Sandpark Place on 9 October 2025 before an undisclosed amount of stealing jewellery. The suspect reportedly fled the property shortly after the theft and had been in hiding until her return earlier today.
The matter was handed over to SAPS Phoenix for further processing and investigations.
