Just before 11:30 the Volunteer Emergency Medical Response Unit received a call for a patient that collapsed and was in Cardiac Arrest at a shopping center in the Menlopark area of Pretoria east.
On arrival our team along with crews from ER24 and Emer-G-Med took over from bystanders from a nearby pharmacy who initiated CPR. After almost an hour in total of CPR there were no signs of life and the patient was declared as deceased.
SAPS was on scene and will investigate the cause.
